Consultant, Greater Denver Area
After several years of experience working with impact-oriented nonprofits in the U.S. and Africa, Patrick went to the Harvard Kennedy School of Government where he solidified his foundation in management, policy analysis and leadership development.
Prior to his time with AchieveMission, Patrick spent six years working with various nonprofit organizations focused on increasing access to health and education services for marginalized populations in a variety of geographic and cultural contexts. His accountabilities focused on building leadership on the individual and organizational levels through training, facilitation, teambuilding, organizational assessment and strategic planning. With FIFA’s corporate social responsibility project in South Africa, he provided financial and technical assistance to seven NGOs in South Africa, Ghana, Rwanda, Botswana and Cape Verde. As a donor/partner, he supported management level staff from these organizations in systematically assessing their strengths and weaknesses, developing three-year Strategic Plans, identifying priorities for growth and creating annual work plans to achieve their goals and objectives.
Patrick has also worked with the Posse Foundation in New York City where he helped tackle educational inequality in America by leading groups of scholarship recipients from urban public high schools through an intensive pre-collegiate training program focused on teambuilding and college preparation for students of diverse backgrounds. He has served with Grassroot Soccer in South Africa implementing HIV Prevention programs in township communities with some of the highest infection rates in the world and, more recently, has consulted with Edgework Consulting, No Means No Worldwide, and other nonprofits on organizational strategy, leadership development and talent management.
