Hayling is a project team leader at FSG with experience in strategy consulting, research, and advocacy in the social sector. In addition to his consulting work, Hayling serves as FSG’s Equity Partnerships Lead, advancing the firm’s commitment to social equity through strategic collaboration.

Hayling is experienced in designing collective impact strategies to accelerate systems change. In particular, he has worked extensively with communities addressing issues in early childhood, youth development, and K-12 education. For example, in partnership with the Kellogg and Kresge Foundations, he helped plan and facilitate a citywide process to create a shared vision for Detroit’s early childhood system. More recently, he supported the design and launch of the Equity Alliance of Staten Island, an initiative focused on educational opportunity and youth wellness in Staten Island, New York. He has also supported FSG’s work in strategic learning and evaluation, which included an assessment of Raising Blended Learners, a statewide personalized learning initiative piloted in schools across Texas.

As Equity Partnerships Lead, Hayling also supports FSG’s strategic priorities on social equity related to business development, capacity building for consulting staff, and partnerships with field actors in the advocacy community.
